Benefits of Creativity
Check out this 12 Benefits of Creativity infographic.
Ever wondered what the benefits of creativity are? If you're thinking about them, then perhap I have found the perfect infographic for you. I watch social media closely and it's my job to share some of the hot topics on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and other outlets that teachers, principals, students, and parents are contributing.
We are Teachers posted an infographic from popular education artist Sylvia Duckworth listing the 12 benefits of creativity. In a world full of standardization, sometimes it's hard to find ways to promote creativity in your classroom or come up with assignments that allow students to be creative. One quick glance at this infographic will tell you that working creativity into your lesson plans is worth it. These 12 benefits range from reducing stress to increasing your ability to focus. The benefits of creativity and their importance may best be summarized by the quote by Ken Robinson at the bottom of the image, “Creativity is as important in education as literacy and we should treat it with the same status.” You can see the graphic below.
How do you incorporate creativity in your classroom? Do you know another benefit not listed on this infographic?
