Join Dr. Samantha Fecich for this hands-on, make-and-take workshop as we explore the interactive features of Canva for Education, including how to design engaging presentations, worksheets, infographics, and more!
Participants will also have an opportunity to design their own content-specific resource that they can immediately use with their students.

Dr. Samantha Fecich teaches preservice teachers (future teachers) at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. She has the honor and the pleasure of working with them in their courses related to educational technology and special education. Samantha enjoys impacting students that she will never get to meet through the work of her preservice educators.
Objectives
- Understand the benefits of using Canva for Education in the classroom.
- Set up a free Canva for Education account and experiment with its interactive features.
- Explain how Canva for Education can be used with other digital tools such as TeacherMade and Google Jamboard.
- Use Canva for Education to design a content-specific resource that increases student engagement and fosters communications skills.
Special Technology Instructions
Participants will need access to an internet device and a non-school, personal Google account. SimpleK12’s Google Classroom will be utilized for the interactive and hands-on components of this workshop.
Assessment
Participants will share the resources they designed using Canva for Education to demonstrate their understanding of the workshop objectives and reflect on their learning.
