There are many advantages to using artificial intelligence in education, but one of the greatest benefits enables us to customize the learning experience both for students and for teachers! Join Lauren Boucher for this hands-on, interactive workshop as she shares how artificial intelligence can be used to enhance student learning and engagement. Participants will also explore the benefits and challenges of incorporating artificial intelligence into the classroom and discover tools they can use to implement instructional activities with their students.

Lauren Boucher is a Regional Digital Teaching and Learning Consultant for the state of North Carolina and a former Instructional Technology Specialist with Pitt County Schools. She has taught third grade, as well as elementary and middle school gifted education.

- Identify how artificial intelligence can be used in the classroom to customize the learning experience both for students and for teachers.
- Explore the benefits and challenges of incorporating artificial intelligence in the classroom to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Discover content area and grade level specific artificial intelligence tools that can be used to implement instructional activities with students.
Special Technology Instructions
Participants will need access to an internet device and a non-school, personal Google account. SimpleK12’s Google Classroom will be utilized for the interactive and hands-on components of this workshop.
Assessment
Participants will have collaboration and sharing opportunities throughout the workshop to demonstrate their understanding of the workshop objectives and reflect on their learning.
