Workshop Description:
Research shows that using games in teaching can help increase student participation, foster social and emotional learning, and motivate students to take risks.
Join Naomi Louise as she shares game-based instructional strategies to drive learner engagement in your classroom, especially for students who may struggle to focus or find their niche in learning.
Participants will also have an opportunity to create their own personalized learning experience that they can immediately use with their students.

Special Technology Instructions
Participants will need access to an internet device and a non-school, personal Google account. SimpleK12’s Google Classroom will be utilized for the interactive and hands-on components of this workshop.
Assessment
Participants will complete an inclusive opening and an optimistic closing activity as well as share their completed digital projects to demonstrate their understanding of the workshop objectives and reflect on their learning.
