Language Arts Project Idea – Simple and Creative
Looking for a great language arts project?
Recently, I found a great language arts project idea on Twitter, so I wanted to share it with everyone. I watch social media closely and it's my job to share some of the hot topics on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and other outlets that teachers, principals, students, and parents are contributing.
This idea comes from Book Creator Team's Twitter, and they found it on a blog called Who's Who and Who's New. The project idea itself is incredibly simple, creative, and can be done incorporating technology or using more traditional project methods.
So here's how it goes. After reading a story, roll a single die. The number on the die corresponds with an idea listed in the image below. The student then carries out the project assigned to that number. You can make the whole classroom do the same project or have every student can roll the die. What's so great about this idea is that it's six projects in one. If one of the ideas listed strikes you, just skip rolling the die and assign the project. These six ideas are all fairly basic, which means you can customize them to your classroom tech needs and overall skill level.
Which idea is your favorite? Have you assigned anything like this in your classroom before? What was the result? What other project ideas do you think would fit with the six listed here?
