Creativity in Education — How Important Is it?
Is creativity in education a thing of the past or a never-was?
We hear all about the “importance of creativity in education,” but is it really important? I watch social media closely and it's my job to share some of the hot topics on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and other outlets that teachers, principals, students, and parents are contributing.
We hear a lot about creativity in education. I'm sure everyone agrees that, among all the fill-in-the-bubble tests, it's good to let students think outside the box every now and then. But what is the importance of creativity? How will students use it in real-life situations? This infographic created by Bryan Mathers and shared by We Are Teachers explains simply why creativity should be a vital part of every classroom. When we encourage creativity in our students, we're preparing them to find solutions instead of memorizing facts.
